What Wuxby is

Wuxby is software for tracking your finances and modelling their future. It projects balances forward, lets you compare hypothetical scenarios, and summarises what it finds.

What Wuxby is not

Wuxby is not a financial adviser, a bank, a broker, or a tax professional, and nothing it produces is financial, investment, tax or legal advice.

Every projection is a model built from assumptions — some of which you supply, and some of which are defaults we chose. Real returns, interest rates, inflation, prices and your own circumstances will differ from any model, sometimes drastically. Forecasts are estimates, not predictions, and past results in the app do not indicate future outcomes in life.

Decisions with real financial consequences deserve a qualified professional who knows your full situation. Use Wuxby to think, not to be told what to do.

Your account

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. Provide accurate registration details and keep them current.

Bank connections

Connecting an institution through SimpleFIN is optional. When you do, you authorise Wuxby to retrieve read-only account and transaction information on your behalf, and you confirm you are entitled to access those accounts.

SimpleFIN is an independent service governed by its own terms. Wuxby is not responsible for its availability, for the accuracy or completeness of data it returns, or for institutions changing or withdrawing access. Sync can fail or lag, and balances shown may not match your bank in real time. Treat your institution as the authoritative record.

AI features

Some optional features use a third-party language model, which means they route certain financial details to an external provider — set out in the privacy policy, which you should read before using them.

Language models make mistakes. AI-generated text can be wrong, incomplete or misleading, and you should check anything consequential against the underlying numbers before acting on it. Every AI feature has a manual equivalent.

Acceptable use

Don't use Wuxby to break the law; don't attempt to access other users' data or our infrastructure; don't probe, scan or attack the service; don't scrape it or drive it through automated means outside our published interfaces; don't resell or redistribute it; and don't upload malware or content you have no right to.

Rate limits apply to some features and may change.

Your data and content

Your financial data remains yours. You grant us only the limited licence needed to operate the service for you: storing it, processing it, computing on it, and displaying it back to you. We do not claim ownership and we do not use your financial data to train AI models.

The software, design and content of Wuxby itself remain ours.

Subscriptions and payment

Wuxby may offer free and paid plans. Where a paid plan applies, pricing, billing period and included features will be shown before you purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; cancelling stops future renewals and leaves access in place until the end of the paid period. Prices may change on reasonable notice, effective from your next renewal.

Availability

We aim to keep Wuxby running and improving, but we provide no uptime guarantee. Features may change or be withdrawn, and maintenance or outages will happen. We will give reasonable notice of significant changes where we can.

Ending your use

You may stop at any time and delete your account from Settings → Security; deletion is permanent and immediate.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, or where required by law. Except in cases of abuse, we will try to give notice and a chance to put things right.

Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent the law allows, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or accuracy of results.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, nor for lost profits, lost savings, or financial losses arising from decisions you make using Wuxby. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or fifty US dollars.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for fraud.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified to account holders by email and reflected in the date at the top. Continuing to use Wuxby after a change means you accept the updated terms; if you do not, delete your account.
