About Wuxby
Wuxby is a personal finance tool built around a simple idea: every financial decision should be testable before you make it.
Why it exists
Most money apps are rear-view mirrors. They categorise what you already spent and show you a tidy chart of the past. That is useful, but it does not answer the questions that actually keep people up at night — can I afford this house, what happens if I lose my job, will paying off this loan early cost me retirement, when can I stop working.
Wuxby is built to answer those. It turns your accounts, income, and recurring bills into a forward-looking forecast, then lets you branch that forecast into alternate timelines and compare them side by side. Think of it as a flight simulator for your finances: somewhere to crash the plane safely before you fly it.
Who builds it
Wuxby is independent and self-funded. It is not owned by a bank, a brokerage, or an advertising network, and it takes no commissions for referring you to financial products. That independence is deliberate — a forecasting tool that earns money by steering you toward particular products is not a forecasting tool, it is a sales channel.
Because it is a small operation, you are generally talking to the person who wrote the code when you get in touch.
How we handle your money data
Read-only, always
Wuxby connects to banks through SimpleFIN in read-only mode. It can see balances and transactions. It cannot move money, and it never sees your bank password.
We do not sell your data
There is no advertising business here and no data brokerage. Wuxby is funded by subscriptions, which means you are the customer rather than the product.
The numbers are deterministic
Every projection comes from tested, auditable math — not from a language model. AI is used to explain and to parse what you type, never to invent a figure.
The full detail is in our privacy policy and terms of service .
Not financial advice
Wuxby is a modelling tool, not a financial adviser. It projects outcomes from the assumptions you give it, and those projections are estimates — markets, rates, and your own circumstances will differ from any model. Nothing in the app is a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold anything. For decisions with real consequences, talk to a qualified professional who knows your full situation.
